The Rocallaura Hotel Balneario, or Spa Hotel, is an oasis set in nature, which combines the comfort and amenities of a hotel with the relaxation provided by a spa resort. It’s a place of contrasts, where tradition lives side-by-side with modernity; rest with activity, past with present. Located in the province of Lérida, this is an historical establishment with special charm, with magic and with almost 100 years of history.
It all began in 1909, when the Rocallaura Waters were declared of public utility. This was how the spa resort was born, immediately attracting the attention of the wealthy families of that era on account of its magical environment and the qualities of its waters. In 1917, the building of a hotel commenced in the vicinity which, following a series of refurbishing work, now contains a total of 82 rooms, including 9 Junior and 6 Full Suites.
There is also a gourmet restaurant where one can sample the best dishes that the region has to offer; a cafeteria, three reception rooms for conventions, a rest room, gym, covered swimming pool and outdoor parking.
One of the main attractions is, without any doubt, the spa, which offers a wide variety of massages and thermal treatments, with different sessions and programmes lasting up to one week. In addition to a well-lit, modern spa circuit with jets and falls, different types of saunas and contrast showers, treatment cabins are also available for a variety of thermal techniques. Of all the treatments provided, the most noteworthy are those based on the natural spring waters. The benefits obtained in regulating the autonomic nervous system complement the mineral and medicinal properties of the water, i.e. its highly diuretic qualities, particularly beneficial for the liver, kidneys and for combatting diabetes.
