The ‘Icicles of time’ by Carmen Baena, an original artistic proposition at the Eurostars Grand Marina.

The Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel***** G.L.presents, from 15 August to 10 October, an exhibition entitled “Icicles of Time”. The Lobby Bar of this Barcelona establishment is showing a series of photographs created by Carmen Baena (Guadix, Granada, 1967) in which the human body is the great protagonist.
In this display, to be inaugurated this coming 18 September, Baena shows a dimension of the human effigy very far from the models of beauty governing the western world. The objective of this Granada artist is to show the human body as the only place in which men and women remain, completely, during their lifetime. This is the reason why Baena’s compositions show human effigies immobilized in ice cubes, symbolizing the body as a fragment of time.
