The ‘Geometrical Games’ by Patrizia Lohan, the latest artistic bet taken by the Eurostars Anglí****.
08/01/08
The Eurostars Anglí**** (Barcelona) presents, until 8 January, the exhibition, ‘Geometrical Games’, by the Italian-German artist Patrizia Lohan. The Barcelona establishment houses a display in which the artist proposes the spectator a very special game. “This is an invitation to the observer to leave his routine and rigid indolence”, affirms Lohan. And, to do so, her exhibition shows “a series of works in which each one is a fragment of an infinite game, constructed in a great white space”.
Emotions and recollections form part of the construction plan that Lohan proposes with this exhibition. The artist acknowledges that her source of inspiration is her native language, German, “inasmuch as it contains many combined words, which means that words are built and can be very inspiring”. In addition, Lohan asserts that nature, music and travel have been the basis for her personal, creative universe, in which she models forms with her own hands; forms that, later on, she combines with painting. At the Eurostars Anglí**** one can admire, amongst other work by Patrizia Lohan, those entitled “Double Squares”, “Three Red Diamonds” or “Celestial geometry”.
