The Eurostars Cristal Palace houses a show of work by CARMEN GHECCA.

The Eurostars Cristal Palace Hotel (Barcelona) presents a show of work by the artist, Carmen Ghecca, (Silkevotg, Dinamarca, 1981), from 4 April to 2 May. The exhibition, entitled the MirrorBall, comprises approximately a dozen oils of a symbolic character and with surrealist influences, as the artist herself admits.
According to Ghecca, her paintings are based on “people I meet in the street, the everyday lives they all lead”. From the energy that these contacts transmit to her, the artist acknowledges that she is inspired “by the empathy given out through my paintings that is a mirror between myself and my protagonists”. Amongst the oils that can be admired in the Eurostars Cristal Palace are works such as 3 monkeys or Panorama. Carmen Ghecca’s education took place between Denmark and Barcelona, the city she has made her home since 2005 and in which she has received tuition in places such as Metàfora, Taller d’Art Contemporani. Ghecca has taken part in collective exhibitions Art for everyone and Untitled 29, as well as others in her country of origin. In 2005, this artist also displayed a show, Silence between Thoughts, that was housed by the Café Gallery Federicia, in her native country.
