Hotel Eurostars Lucentum
A benchmark hotel with a capacity for plenty of guests right in the shopping and business district. The Eurostars Lucentum is a modern hotel located in the heart of Alicante, very close to the Mercado Central and just a few metres from the port and the old quarter, making it the perfect vantage point for visiting the city on foot. It is also well-connected with other points of interest in the city, with a stop on the new metropolitan tramline right across the street. The hotel has 169 rooms, all of them fully equipped, heated and air conditioned. It also has comprehensive facilities, including 6 rooms for holding all sorts of events The Hotel Eurostars Lucentum opened its doors in 2006, and it has been managed by Eurostars Hotels since February 2011. It is a great choice for business and pleasure trips alike. Lucentum was the ancient name for Alicante back when the Iberians and Romans lived there. Greeks, Phoenicians and Tartesos passed through Lucentum, while Roman Lucentum boasted baths and a forum. Along with Ilici (Elche), it was one of the largest towns in the Roman east coast of what is today Spain. Over the centuries, Lucentum became Leucante, and with the arrival of the Arabs it came to be known as Al-Laqant.

Hotel Eurostars Mediterránea Plaza
Hotel in Alicante Spain
A true oasis of peace and quiet in the very nerve centre of one of the liveliest cities on the Mediterranean An unbeatable location right in the centre of Alicante and some amazing vistas from the roof-top terrace make the Eurostars Mediterranean Plaza Alicante hotel one of the most sought-after establishments in the city.
The hotel in Alicante is close to everything: a stone's throw from the Postiguet beach, from the shopping area, from the ?Barrio' (the major night-life district), the yacht marina (starting point of the 2011 Volvo Ocean Race) and many other places, such as the Teatro Principal (barely 200 metres away), the Contemporary Art Museum, the Esplanade of Spain (lovely walks in the shade of the palm trees) and the narrow streets of the old part of the city.
The great value of the Eurostars Mediterránea Plaza (hotel in Alicante Spain) lies in the fact that this is the place for people in search of rest and quiet as well as those who want life and activity. It's a paradox, but both sorts find their ideal spot here because the hotel is like the eye of the hurricane: an peaceful oasis set in the whirlpool of commercial, cultural, business and leisure activities that represent downtown Alicante.
Our personal recommendation is for you to start the day with a hearty breakfast served under the arches of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and end it on the roof-top terrace where you can sit and enjoy the magnificent panoramic vista of the recently renovated Plaza and the Castle of St. Barbara, on top of Mount Banacantil.
